Evidence-based treatments for BPD

The scientific literature shows that with an integrated multidisciplinary treatment, there are good possibilities of improving the quality of life of these patients. To do so, they require specific treatments adapted to their psychopathology; that is, these people need care adapted to their clinical, family, social and personal situation, and based on the characteristics of their problem.

Behavioural-Dialectic Therapy (DBT) BPD, developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan (1993) at the University of Washington (USA), is one of the treatments that has achieved the most empirical support with BPD patients.
